HANOVER, IN – Christopher Newport cross country runners David Woodson (6^th place) and Amy Wampler (12^th place) had a fine showing at the Pre-National Meet hosted by Hanover Saturday.

Woodson finished sixth with a time of 25:49. Corey Lofton placed 51^st in 26:56, Nate Huffman was 104^th in 27:54, Andrew Johnson finished 143^rd with a time of 28:44, Jack Tierney placed 149^th in 28:53, and Kyle Oakes had a time of 29:13 and finished 162^nd.

On the women's side, Wampler finished with a time of 23:00 to finish in 12^th place. Megan Roberts placed 33^rd in 24:07, and Brooke Rowe finished in 83^rd with a time of 25:43.

The Captains return to action next Saturday when they head to Pittsburgh, PA for the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
