Golf Team in 3rd Place After 1st Day of State Tournament

WINTERGREEN RESORT, Va. - The CNU golf team was in third place, nine shots behind Randolph-Macon, after the first day of the Virginia Intercollegiate Championships.
CNU shot a 309 to trail Roanoke by two shots and RMC by nine.
The Captains were led by Joe Evans with a 74, good for fifth place. Chris Olson had a 76 and was tied for 12th, while Ben Culotta's 77 had him tied for 14th place.
The tournament concludes Monday.
