ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The CNU volleyball team swept matches with Ferrum and Averett to close the regular season and complete the Captains' third consecutive undefeated USA South season. CNU has now won 63 straight conference regular season matches.
CNU topped Ferrum in the first match, 25-23, 26-24, 25-11. Caitlyn Jansen had 13 kills and Cory Harris added ten kills and 11 digs. Abby Hogge added 13 digs, Kara Elder had 12 and Jessie Heavenrich contributed 25 assists.
In a 25-19, 25-18, 25-20 win over Averett, Bailey Jensen led with 12 kills and Jansen had 10. Harris was tops in digs with eight and Heavenrich had 32 assists.
As the top seed, CNU will host the winner of the number eight and nine seeds in the quarter-finals Tuesday at the Freeman Center at 7 p.m.
