GREENSBORO, N.C. - CNU's women's cross country team finished third in the NCAA South/Southeast Regional, missing qualifying for nationals by one spot Saturday.
The Captains finished with 135 points. Rhodes won the team title with 35 and Emory was second with 100.
CNU's top four finishers all crossed the line within 23 seconds of one another, all in the top 30. Dira Hansen placed 15th in 24:36, Liz Bissell was 17th in 24:38, Brooke Rowe came in 20th with a time of 24:46 and Amy Wampler was 29th in 24:59.
The CNU men placed 19th with the top finisher being Ray Gamache in 30:23.
