NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Christopher Newport’s sailing squad placed third at its own Icefree Invitational this weekend.
Delaware won the event as Virginia placed second. The Captains third place finish gave them victories over William & Mary, Hampton, Maryland, Salisbury and Webb.
Team members were Maxwell Plarr, Meghan Maghee, Tyler Myers and Brennan Russell.
The Captains return to action this weekend when they host the CNU 2-on-2 Invitational March 21-22.
