Whinnett Helps Lead USA South To Win Over ODAC In USA South-ODAC Challenge

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA – Christopher Newport’s men’s basketball player Thomas Whinnett scored four of his game-high 16 points in overtime to lead the USA South to its first ever win over the ODAC, 88-87, Sunday.
Whinnett scored four of his game-high 16 points in the extra frame, helping the USA South to the win. He finished 6-of-15 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line and also grabbed seven rebounds. Fellow teammate Davon Barton scored eight points and dished out three assists.
The ODAC now leads the series, 3-1.
