Cheerleaders Finish Second At Nationals
CNU cheerleaders placed second at Nationals.

MRYTLE BEACH, SC – Christopher Newport’s cheerleading squad placed second at Nationals.
The Captains competed in the College Open Nationals with Cheer Ltd. The competition was held Saturday, March 21st.
CNU competed in the large collegiate all girl division. The Captains placed second behind Newberry College. Virginia Tech was third, followed by Virginia and James Madison.
This is the third year Christopher Newport has attended the College Open Nationals.
“It has been an amazing season with the most talented group of cheerleaders CNU has seen,” Head Coach Erica Flanigan said about her squad. “We are looking forward to another great season next year.”
