HAMPTON, VA – Christopher Newport’s sailing squad, who also competed in the Ocean County 2-on-2, finished sixth at the MAISA SAISA Regatta this weekend hosted by Hampton University.
South Florida won the event, followed by Charleston, Fordham, Old Dominion, and Virginia. CNU’s sixth place finish gave them victories over Hampton, Florida, Tennessee, William & Mary, Virginia Tech and Monmouth.
Team members were Maxwell Plarr, Meghan Magee, Tyler Myers and Brennan Russell.
CNU returns to action this weekend when they travel to Hampton for the South Spring Qualifier hosted by Hampton University.
