Bailey Named First Team All-South
Trae Bailey was named First Team All-South Region.

MT PLEASANT, MI – Christopher Newport baseball player Trae Bailey was named First Team All-South by the American Baseball Coaches Association for the second straight season.
Bailey was also named the South’s Player of the Year in 2008. In 2009, he led the team with a .404 average, 63 hits, 55 runs, nine home runs, 44 RBI and 35 walks.
He was named the USA South’s Player of the Year for the second straight season and was a First Team All-USA South choice.
Bailey helped the Captains to a 26-13-2 record on the year and 5-5 in USA South play. CNU captured an at-large bid into the NCAA Regionals where they finished 2-2.
