CHESAPEAKE BEACH, MD – Two Christopher Newport women's lacrosse players were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's All-Region team.

Sophomore midfielder Kaitlin Quigley was named First Team All-Chesapeake Region. Quigley tied for the team lead in goals with 48 and finished second on the team in points with 68. She led the team with 40 draw controls. Quigley was named the USA South's Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference and was also named the USA South Tournament's Most Valuable Player.

Senior midfielder Katie Doherty was named Second Team All-Region. She led the team in assists with 36 and was third on the squad in points with 51. Doherty led the team in caused turnovers with 24 and ground balls with 34. She was a First Team All-USA South choice and named to the conference's All-Tournament squad.

The Captains finished 13-7 overall and 4-0 in USA South play. CNU captured the USA South Conference Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Playoffs.
