NEWPORT NEWS, VA- Christopher Newport University will host a first-round game in the 2009 NCAA women’s lacrosse tournament. CNU will play Wednesday night at 7 pm against Mary Washington under the lights at Captains Field.
The Captains are 13-6 on the season and are Champions of the USA South. It is CNU’s fourth straight NCAA appearance.
Tickets will be available at the gate and will be $3 for adults, $2 for students with valid ID. CNU students with proper ID will have their tickets purchased by the CNU athletic department. Tickets for children under 12 years old will be $1.
The winner of Wednesday’s game will play Saturday at 2:30 pm at Salisbury against the winner of the Catholic/Messiah first-round matchup.
