NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The CNU women rose one spot in the USA Today/ESPN poll, moving to No. 10 after a one-game week last week.
At the same time the Captains actually slipped to No. 15 in the d3hoops.com poll.
CNU won its only game last week, defeating Mary Baldwin, 92-50. Their other scheduled game, against Peace Sunday, was postponed due to snow. It was played Monday, with CNU winning 90-46, but did not count in this week's rankings.
The Captains travel to N.C. Wesleyan Saturday for a 2 p.m. contest.
