Women's 4X800 Relay Sets School Record at Washington & Lee Meet

  LEXINGTON, Va. - A new school record in the women's 4X800 relay highlighted the CNU performances at the Washington & Lee Track & Field Carnival this weekend.
  The team of Michelle Stauffer, Brooke Rowe, Amy Wampler and Laurie Murphy recorded a time of 9:57.23 to break the old mark of 10:05.4 set in 1986 by Karen Humphrey, Cindy Smith, Kim Angevine and Leigh Anne Beale.
  Richard Roethel reached an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the decathon by chalking up 6120 points.
  David Woodson improved his No. 5 CNU ranking in the 1500 to 3:59.51 and Will Kirk became No. 5 all time in the 10,000 with a 33:42.75 clocking.
  Three CNU athletes reached the CNU top ten in the women's hammer. Adrianna Carter reached No. 6 at 120-3, Juliana Yensho is now seventh with her 116-8 toss and Christine Hood is tenth with a 102-9 toss.
  In the women's pole vault Lisa Ames became No. 7 all-time at CNU with a jump of 8-6 and Taryn Langley is now No. 10 after her vault of 7-6.
  Jonathon Wade reached No. 10 at CNU in the men's hammer at 111-9.
  The team next competes in the Colonial Relays at William & Mary Friday and Saturday.
