CNU Sailing Wins William and Mary 2 on 2 Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, VA – The CNU sailing team competed in the William and Mary 2 on 2 Invitational this past weekend, April 10-11, in Williamsburg, VA. The Captains won the event after posting an 8-2 record with five wins and no losses in the second rotation.

The first rotation was sailed in 5-10 knots on Saturday morning with Hampton University coming out on top with four wins and 1 loss. CNU followed closely posting three wins and two losses. Tied for third place with three wins and two losses were the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Salisbury University. William and Mary trailed the other teams with no wins and five losses.

The second rotation took place Saturday afternoon as the wind was picking up. The Captains took control of this rotation posting five wins and no losses. Following with three wins and two losses was Hampton University. Another tie for third came between the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech and Salisbury with two wins and three losses each. William and Mary followed with one win and four losses.

The CNU team was composed of skippers Maxwell Plarr, Tyler Myers and Taylor Gray and crew members Kira Munger, Brennan Russell and Lynn Ball.
