NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Christopher Newport senior linebacker
Sean Wilkinson was recognized by the DC Touchdown Club this week. Wilkinson was selected to the weekly honor roll by the organization following his efforts in last Saturday's 28-0 CNU victory over Montclair State University.
Wilkinson registered eight tackles, intercepted a pass, and also broke up a pass as the Captains recorded their first shutout since 2017. His interception on Montclair State's opening drive of the game set up CNU's first of four touchdowns in the decisive victory. Wilkinson leads the Captains in tackles this season with 46 in six games played this season, and has been a leading defender for the Captains his entire career.
