Rebecca Frey and Anna Dean were named to the 2022 Academic All-District® Volleyball Team. Selected by College Sports Communicators, the awards recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

Dean and Frey were two of the 691 players honored across the country, They will now be eligible for a spot on the Academic All-American team, which will be voted on later this year.

Anna Dean holds a 3.64 cumulative GPA with a major in Communication Studies. She's garnered academic awards before as a three-time selection to the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. Dean also ranks 40th nationally and first in the conference in service aces with 64 this season. Despite just three seasons played, she sits just outside the top-ten all-time in career aces at CNU.

Rebecca Frey boasts a 3.67 cumulative undergraduate GPA and currently has a 4.0 cumulative graduate GPA as she works toward a Masters in Elementary Education. She also has a history of academic awards as a four-time selection to the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. Frey helped lead CNU to the NCAA Regional Championship match.
