NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Two unbeaten Top 25 men's basketball programs converge Tuesday night at the Freeman Center. Christopher Newport University, ranked fifth in the country in the preseason poll from D3hoops.com is off to a 4-0 start. The Captains will entertain 23rd-ranked Hampden-Sydney College in a 7:00 p.m. start. The Tigers are 2-0 to start the season.

Jahn Hines led the way with 20 points, followed by 15 from sophomore
Toa Hollenbeck and ten from sophomore Isaiah Dozer, who also led the team with 14 rebounds.
Hampden-Sydney has won both of its games this year, most recently defeating seventh-ranked Randolph-Macon College, 84-77, last Wednesday at H-SC. The Tigers finished the year last year as the second-ranked team in the country, after falling to Trine University in the NCAA Championship game in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on March 16th. The Tigers concluded the season with a 31-3 record.
The game will be the 17th in the all-time series, with the Captains holding a 9-7 edge. Last year on November 8th, the Tigers prevailed in the season opener for both teams, 74-53, in Hampden-Sydney, Va.Â

The Captains have another home game coming up on Saturday, as CNU will host the Cougars of Kean University on Saturday afternoon at the Freeman Center. The game time for Saturday's action has been changed, and will now begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.Â
