NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Champions will be crowned on campus this weekend as Christopher Newport University will host the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Championship Tournaments on Saturday, May 10-Sunday, May 11. The semifinal rounds will be played on Saturday with the title bouts set for Sunday.

Christopher Newport University has secured the top seed on the women's side and will take on #4 Salisbury in the semifinal round on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. The other semifinal matchup will be played simultaneously at 10:00 a.m. between #2 UC Santa Cruz and #3 Mary Washington.

On the men's side, top-seeded Mary Washington will face #4 UC Santa Cruz at 2:00 p.m. on Courts 1-6 while the second semifinal will feature the host and second-seeded Captains against #3 Salisbury at the same time.

Following the semifinal matchups, all four teams will return to the courts on Sunday; the women will again play at 10:00 a.m. while the men's matchups will be at 2:00 p.m. On Sunday, the winning teams will face off for the championship while the other two teams will battle for third place.

Should inclement weather effect the competition of the postseason event, a schedule has been predetermined to move the matches indoors to the James River Country Club. In that case, the third place matches would be cancelled with the title bouts taking priority.

Live video coverage will be available for the matches this weekend and live stats links courtesy of iOnCourt will be made available prior to the weekend. Links can be found on the tennis schedules at CNUsports.com.

All play outdoors will be conducted at the Eyre Courts on the campus of Christopher Newport University. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in lots adjacent to the courts. For a parking map of campus, click here

Mary Washington are three-time defending conference champions on the men's side while Christopher Newport is the reigning champion on the women's side. Last year, UMW defeated Christopher Newport, 5-3, in the C2C men's tennis championship and CNU took down the Eagles, 5-2, in the C2C women's tennis title bout.

The C2C Championship does not include an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Championship in 2025. For the 2025 men's championships, 34 teams will be given a Pool A berth and for the 2025 women's championships, 39 teams will be given a Pool A berth. Ten at-large selections will then be selected on a national basis to complete the championship field for both the men and women, using regional selection criteria.
