2015 - Senior Season - Key contributor on the team’s attack during her final year with the Captains … Appeared in all 17 games and finished the season with a career-high eight points … Posted a goal in three of the team’s first five games of the season … Found the back of the cage against Ferrum on September 6 and Wesley on September 12 … Capped off her early-season surge with the game-winning strike in the second half during a 1-0 win over Washington & Lee on September 19 … Earned four straight starts from September 23 - October 8 … Rewarded the team with a pair of assists during that run after chipping in with helpers against Roanoke on September 25 and Rhodes on September 26 … Finished the year with 14 shots, including 11 on-goal … Excelled in the classroom as well, earning a spot on the CAC Academic All-Conference and NFHCA National All-Academic teams.

2014 - Junior Season - Excelled during her third campaign in Newport News … Saw action in 17 games and earned three starts … Contributed five points, including a pair of goals … Tallied her first career goal at Ferrum on September 26 … Found the back of the cage again at Frostburg State after scoring the game-winner against the Bobcats on October 25 … Chipped in with an assist against Wittenberg on September 7 as well … Earned her first career starting nod in the season opener against Denison on August 30 … Also broke into the starting lineup during victories over Randolph-Macon on September 10 and at Ferrum on September 26 … Finished the season with 11 shots, including eight on-goal.

2013 - Sophomore Season - Appeared in 11 games during her second year at CNU … Saw a season-high 31 minutes of action and posted her first career point with an assist against Wilson on October 23 … Also played for 24 minutes and uncorked a pair of shots in the season opener against Hendrix on August 31 … Finished the year with four shots, all of which were on-goal.

2012 - Freshman Season - Appeared in seven games during her freshman campaign … Made her collegiate debut in a 2-0 victory over Rhodes during the season opener on Sept. 1 … Notched her lone shot of the year during a 5-1 triumph against Randolph-Macon on Sept. 14.

At Menchville - Served as a midfielder on the varsity field hockey team for three seasons … Selected to the first-team All-District squad for her performance as a junior and senior … Also named to the All-Tournament team during the 2011 Falcon Invitational.

Personal - Samantha Lauren Snider was born on March 11, 1994 in Hampton, Va.  … She is the daughter of Loyd and Jody Snider … Has an older brother, Zachary, and an older sister, Jordan … Jordan was a four-year member of the CNU field hockey team from 2010-13 … Hopes to become an oncologist or a physician’s assistant … Majoring in biology.
