2025-- Sophomore Season -- Enjoyed a breakout season, returning fom injury and playing in all 11 games in CNU's first-ever undefeated regular season...moved up the depth chart to backup tight end, and caught nine passes, four for touchdowns...logged 56 yards receiving...caught two scoring passes in a victory over Montclair State at TowneBank Stadium on November 1st...posted a season-high 26 yards receiving and a season-long 16-yard reception in CNU's regular season-ending win at TCNJ on November 14th.

2024-- Freshman Season -- Opened his collegiate career on the Christopher Newport roster as a tight end...suffered an injury and did not see any game action.

At Grafton -- Played football and basketball for the Clippers ... Served as team captain as a senior ... Earned All-District honors as a junior and senior ... Also collected All-Region honors 

Personal -- Fredrick Ernest Cowell IV was born in Destin, Fla. and goes by the nickname Freddie ... Son of Nichole and Fred Cowell ... Has one brother, Sammy ... Favorite athlete is Penei Sewell ... Dream vacation is a trip to the beach ... Has not yet decided on a major.
