2012 - Senior - Collected USA South and Tournament MVP honors for the third straight year...Received All-American honors for the third time in singles and his first in doubles...Posted a 16-3 singles record at No. 1 singles going undefeated in Division III competition with wins against nationally ranked Kenyon, Cal Lutheran, Occidental, Mary Washington and NC Wesleyan...His three singles losses were to Division I East Carolina and JMU and NAIA #1 Fresno Pacific......Finished the regular season and conference tournament winning his last 14 matches...Went 13-7 in doubles at the No. 1 position...ITA Regional Tournament Doubles Champion with partner Matt King...Competed at NCAA Singles Championship for third straight year where he lost in the Round of 16...Ranked as high as #4 in the nation in doubles...Finished season ranked #9 in singles...

2011 - Junior - Continued the success of his sophomore and freshman years earning USA South Player of the Year and Tournament MVP honors for the second straight year...Chosen to the All-American team becoming the only Captain to recieve the honor twice...Also selected to the All-Virginia Division II-III first team...Went 12-5 at No. 1 singles with wins against Division II Mercyhurst (6-2, 6-3) and nationally ranked N.C. Wesleyan (7-5, 6-0)...Went 12-6 in doubles with 12 matches played at No. 1 and six at No. 2...Selected to compete at the NCAA Singles Championship where he lost in the first round to the Northeast Region's second-ranked player...

2010 - Sophomore - An outstanding year that saw him named USA South Player of the Year and Tournament MVP...Became the fourth Captain in history to earn All-American honors...He finished ranked No. 4 in the region after compiling a 16-5 record at No. 1 singles and a 15-7 mark in doubles, mostly at No. 1...Four of his singles losses were against Division I opponents and the other to nationally-ranked Vassar...After that three-set loss he ran off 13 straight wins, including six against the No.1 player from nationally-ranked opponents...

2009- Freshman- Named USA South and Virginia Division II-III Rookie of the Year... Also a first team all-conference choice and second team all state. Took over at No. 1 singles for CNU where he posted a 14-7 record against a very strong schedule... He also teamed with Dusty Nelson for a 14-5 record at No. 1 doubles... By the end of the fall season 2009 he was ranked sixth in the South Atlantic Region and by the International Tennis Association, and 23rd in the nation.

At Deep Run- Was a four-year letter winner for head coach Salman Parvaiz... Led his team to a district championship and a runner-up finish in regionals... Four-time All-Metro Academic choice.

Personal- Eric H. Shulman was born on October 15, 1989 in New York, NY... He is the son of Ed and Doreen Shulman... Has one sister Allison, 21... Chose CNU because of its small classes, athletics and campus surroundings...Volunteered at the Boys & Girls Club...Dream vacation is to Australia...Majoring in Communications.
