2017-18 - Senior Season:
Cross Country - Secured All-Conference honors after placing 11th at the CAC Championships with a time of 25:51.4 ... Competed at the NCAA Championships and posted a time of 26:01.2, which placed him 193rd in the country ... That effort helped the Captains finish third in the team standings at the title meet ... Also ran the 8k during the Cowbell Classic and Paul Short Run ... Placed eighth in the 5k at the Mary Washington Opener ... Took part in the 6k during the William & Mary Invitational as well.
Track & Field - Picked up All-Region plaudits in the indoor 5000 ... Posted his top time in the event during the Tufts Final Qualifier after crossing in 14:59.0 ... Came in fifth in the 3000 during the CAC Indoor Championships after finishing in 8:44.82 ... Added a fifth-place showing in the 5000 (15:12.50) during the CAC Outdoor Championships ... Had his top time in the 3000 during the David Hemery Valentine Invitational after finishing in 8:37.63 ... Notched six top-five finishes during the year, including victories in the 5000 at the Captains Invitational and Tufts Final Qualifier.

2016-17 - Junior Season:
Cross Country - Picked up All-Conference and All-Region honors for his work during the year … Came in sixth at the CAC Championships with a time of 25:46.0 before placing 33rd at the South / Southeast Regionals with a 26:40.8 clocking … Capped off the year at the NCAA Championships, helping the Captains place 11th in the nation after finishing in 25:44.7 … Secured his top time of the year in the 8k at the Paul Short Run with a 25:17.0 mark … Came in fourth at the CNU Invitational as well.
Track & Field - Put together an outstanding year, earning All-Region honors in the indoor 3000 and 5000 as well as the outdoor 10,000 … Won the CAC Championship in the 5000 after completing the event in 15:07.54 at the indoor meet … Established a school record in the 3000 with a time of 8:33.49 at the Vince Brown Invitational, which eventually earned him CAC Track Athlete of the Week honors … Came back with a since-broken school record during the outdoor campaign, establishing the 10,000 standard with a 30:57.84 clocking at the Colonial Relays … Secured All-Conference honors for his work in the 5000 as well after finishing second in the event during the outdoor championships … Placed third in the 10,000 during the league meet as well.

2015-16 - Sophomore Season:
Cross Country - Finished 37th at the CAC Championships with a time of 26:48 … Equaled that clocking at the Paul Short Run earlier in the year … Placed 17th at the CNU Invitational and came in 29th at the William & Mary Invitational with a 20:36.1 mark in the 6k.
Track & Field - Collected All-Conference honors after finishing second in the 10,000 during the CAC Outdoor Championships … Posted a personal-best time of 32:48.28 during the title meet … Also came in 11th in the 5000 at the outdoor championships after finishing fifth in the discipline during the indoor league meet … Established a PR in the 5000 during the Swarthmore Final Qualifier after crossing the line in 15:13.90 … Competed in the 1500 and 3000 during the year as well.
 
2014-15 - Freshman Season:
Cross Country - Came in 43rd during the CAC Championships after completing the 8k in 26:28.8 … Also placed 25th during the William & Mary Invitational before coming in 42nd during the CNU Invitational.
Track & Field - Posted a season-best time of 4:44.11 during the indoor mile at the Vince Brown Invitational … Had his finest performance during the outdoor season after clocking in at 9:33.05 in the 3000 during the Fred Hardy Invitational, which placed him 13th in the field.

At Cosby - Starred as a member of the cross country and track & field teams for the Titans … Collected All-District honors in cross country as a junior and senior … Also named All-Region and second-team All-Metro in 2013 … Secured All-District nods in the 3200 during each of his final three seasons on the track & field team … Earned All-Region honors in the event during his senior season as well.
 
Personal - Samuel Sinclair Murch is the son of Doug and Lisa Murch … His dream vacation is a trip to the Olympics.
