2007 - Sophomore Season - A first team all-USA South selection in the midfield...Fourth leading scorer on the team with 19 goals and 24 assists for a total of 43 points...Scored four goals against Shenandoah and added three each versus N.C. Wesleyan and Averett...Also had four assists each in games with Ferrum and Averett...Had the game-winning goal against Shenandoah...Contributed four ground balls in the Shenandoah game.

2006 - Freshman Season - Played in 15 games and was the team’s third-leading scorer with 26 goals and 17 assists...Doherty scored five goals against Marymount and four goals against Lynchburg...She also scored three goals against Shenandoah and twice each against N.C. Wesleyan, Roanoke and Methodist, earning second team all-conference honors.

AT PAUL VI - Played lacrosse throughout high school for coach Joe Dannemann and her team was Washington Catholic Area Conference champions...Her senior year, she was team captain and second team All-WCAC...Doherty was a third team All-WCAC selection her junior year and was a two-time All-State cross country runner...Doherty was a Peer Mentor and volunteer for the mentally challenged.

PERSONAL - Katie Mary Doherty was born Aug. 16, 1987 in Fairfax, Va...Her major is Psychology and she is the daughter of Matthew and Mary Kay Doherty...She has a brother, Nicholas, 25.
