Biography

2021-22 - Senior Season: Remained one of the top pole vaulters in the South while securing All-Region accolades during both the indoor and outdoor campaigns … Walked away with a pair of league titles after sweeping the pole vault during the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championships … Also hauled in second-team All-State nods during the indoor season for her efforts … Established a new PR in the pole vault after eclipsing 3.45 meters during the Eastern Shore Challenge … Earned the Coast-to-Coast Conference Field Athlete of the Week Award on April 25 for that showcase … Posted eight victories during the year, including a win in each of her final three outings … Competed in the pole vault 14 times and finished in the top-five on 13 occasions … Also placed 10th in the event during the prestigious Colonial Relays in April … Was the only league competitor to top 11-feet in the pole vault during the year, accomplishing the feat at the Eastern Shore Challenge and VCU Final Qualifier.

2020-21 - Junior Season: Stockpiled awards for her work in the pole vault … Notched first-team All-Conference honors in the event after winning the league championship with a 3.08-meter clearance at the title meet … Garnered All-Region nods in the pole vault as well after ranking fourth in the South / Southeast Region with a season-best effort of 3.41 meters at the VCU Final Qualifier … Also earned second-team All-State accolades for her efforts  … Posted victories in the pole vault at the Blue & Silver Challenge and New Captains Classic … Eclipsed 10-feet during each of her eight outings in the spring, including a 3.26-meter effort at the Charm City Invitational, which placed her second in the field … Finished in the top-five in six of her appearances during the outdoor campaign.

2019-20 - Sophomore Season: Finished third in the pole vault at the CAC Indoor Championships after topping 3.18 meters … Posted her highest clearance at the CNU Holiday Open after eclipsing 3.22 meters, which ranked as the ninth-best showing in the South / Southeast Region during the year … Also won the pole vault with a 3.20-meter height at the Captains Invitational … Took part in the pole vault in five meets during the winter and finished in the top-three on four occasions … Also established a new PR in the 200 at the CNU Holiday Open with a 29.76 clocking.

2018-19 - Freshman Season: Excelled in the pole vault throughout her debut campaign … Finished fourth in the event during both the CAC Indoor and Outdoor Championships … Cleared 3.15 meters during the winter competition before adding a 3.07-meter clearance in the spring meet … Established a PR in the event at the Eastern Shore Challenge after eclipsing 3.30 meters … Had a 3.21-meter height while winning the pole vault during the Captains Invitational during the indoor season … Placed second in the event during both the Vince Brown Invitational and New Captains Classic … Registered nine top-five finishes during the year … Also competed in the 200 and 400-hurdles … Tallied a season-best time of 30.51 during the 200 at the Blue & Silver Challenge before adding a mark of 1:25.56 in the hurdles at the CAC Outdoor Championships.

At Lafayette - Was a perennial All-Conference selection during her four years on the track & field team ... Captured indoor and outdoor regional championships during her final two campaigns ... Also was an All-State performer during each of her last three years ... Helped lead the squad to the state championship as a freshman ... Also competed with WISC Gymnastics and was the state champion on the uneven bars and vault. 

Personal - Peyton Leigh Blanding is the daughter of Lee and Suzanne Blanding ... Has three sisters, Taylor, Jordan, and Reagan ... Her father competed in ice hockey at RIT and SUNY Geneseo ... Majoring in biology.
