NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Action at the Eyre Courts continued on Saturday as Christopher Newport men's tennis hosted the CNU Duals. Lightning entered the area in the afternoon and forced some of the matches to be suspended until Sunday. 

The Captains took on Mary Washington and Batten University on day two. 

Rainer Christiansen and Gabe Smith paired up for a win against Mary Washington's Keldibek Kozhoev and Albert Vladimirskiy, 6-1. Christiansen also added a win in singles against Ayaan Choudhary in a 6-4, 6-4 final. Jamison Wallace and newcomer Anderson Fortney also earned singles wins against Mary Washington. 

In the bout against Batten University, Fortney added a second win while newcomers David Garcia Carrasco and Matt Miller also earned wins. 

The tournament will conclude on Sunday.
